Thank you very much

Hi Erhan;
Please check page 7.2 from http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e24186.pdf

Thanks for this post. It made me to think of running CMD in Adminstrator mode and then it worked, altough the process was a bit different as described.
Hi;
Nice to hear issue has been solved
Regards
Gunes
It was very useful. But sad thing is that I was not able to deinstall oracle properly. I tried as local user as well as administrator. But both getting stuck at some points and never completed fully.
After several unsuccessful efforts of deinstallation, I tried deleting the whole oracle folder itself. That was also failing first. Then I started deleting each individual folders inside the Oracle home. At one place, it failed by showing that this particular file is being used by OracleMTSRecoveryService service. So I just took a command prompt and deleted the service using sc delete “OracleMTSRecoveryService”. Then I did a shift+del of complete oracle folder and its gone!!..
Nice to hear issue solved

Many thanks.. but i’ve some confusion, I am new to database,wants to work on sql plus. i’ve installed twice oracle database 11gR2 on my win7 32bit . Now, both the databases located in C:>apps/user/product/11.2/home1&home2. i’ve downloaded deinstaller from oracle which is located in C drive in some other folder, How can i set the path?? plz rply
Hi Abi;
Simply you can use :
set ORACLE_HOME=C:\apps\user\product\11.2\home1 or home2
set ORACLE_SID=xxx
Than you can make control such as
echo %ORACLE_HOME%
echo %ORACLE_SID%
shows error perl deinstaller not found: C:\apps\user\product\11.2\home1\deinstaller\deinstaller
i want to remove all this database stuff, what should i do after that?
Hi;
I suggest please follow:

WIN: Manually Removing all Oracle Components on Microsoft Windows Platforms [ID 124353.1]

Steps are already documented, If you don’t have metalink ID than let me know and I will share steps here with you. By the way the recommended way for deinstall is to use deinstall tools. Check deinstall log. Logs will be created under /logs folder. After successful completion check if inventory is updated properly.
Check if OracleHome folder is deleted. If not then you have to remove it manually.
Thank you Gunes ,oracle 11gR2 is now deinstalled from my computer. Thanks for the support.
Worked like a charm. Thank you.
Super – at least someone who is capable of giving solutions. Thanks ! FIlip
